With the occasion of the recent Copenhagen Fashion Week, the Denmark Design Museum is hosting a spectacular retrospective exhibition for the work of great designer Peter Jensen. Throughout his career Jensen builts up his collections around a single, charismatic Muse, fictional or not. The exhibition is focusing on this special characteristic by featuring five of his Muses: Mildred, Tonya, Jytte, Laurie and Muriel through photography, sketches, text and a live recording of a love song during a fashion show by Nina Persson of the Cardigans.

Since 2000 Peter Jensen has had over 20 Muses,  from Marianne Faithful, the Danish Queen Christine from the 16th century, photographic artist Cindy Sherman, art collector Gertrude Stein, the Olympic athlete Olga Korbut to Ingmar Bergman's Fanny and Aleksander and Mike Leigh's Keith and Candice Marie.

All Jensen's Muses are included in a special a special publication created by graphic design team Åbäke, released at the opening of the exhibition, with in-depth essays, interviews by fashion journalists and material from the designer's archives.

The exhibition is running through the 30th of October.
